As the curtain draws on our 23-24 campaign I have to admit to being very pleased with how it has gone.
Reaching a Play-off final, and although losing badly on the day, it was an achievement everyone should be incredibly proud of. The County Cup Semi-final also a great place to be, and to be in BOTH cup semi-finals was another great achievement for the players. Then to win the League Knockout Cup after beating the teams that finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the South division and the 2nd place team in our league.
Lifting that Trophy is something we are all very proud of.
What is most pleasing is the amount of traveling supporters we have taken to both finals, that really helped the lads and it was brilliant to see, this coupled with the home support also has been excellent so thank you.
While I am at it, I just want to thank all the staff, Matt Easton, Gary King, Nick Chapman and Jamie Robinson for their support. Also Jamie Kilner, Sean Redford, and Dom Murry, for their professionalism with the other teams. The committee for all their support and of course our small and dedicated band of volunteers, all of which add up to a result much bigger than all their collective parts.
Finally the players deserve a huge amount of credit, they have worked so hard, through adversity at times and fully deserve the season they have had.
Attention now turns to next season and whilst it will be tough we will try to emulate our success, or at least we will be working harder than anyone to get there.
Thanks again to you all and hopefully you have all enjoyed the ride as much as I have done.
Rawlo.
