2nd qualifying round game is to be played at Home.

The whole nation applauded the success of the England Lionesses this summer when football finally came home with a victory in the UEFA Women's EURO 2022. Finally, 56 years after the 1966 World Cup win, a senior England football team lifted silverware. Sell-out games at major football stadiums, and record TV viewing figures during the competition, have been followed by a huge increase in participation in women's and girls' football. There has also been a significant increase in attendance at English domestic league games in the early part of this season, with even more record-breaking attendance being recorded.

Our very own Skegness Town women's team has made history too. This season our women's team has entered The Vitality Women's FA Cup for the very first time, and they have already reached the 2nd qualifying round, following an impressive 5-nil victory away in Leicester. But we have even more great news to share. The 2nd qualifying round has been made, which has been very kind to us, and we are delighted to announce that history is about to be made yet again. For the very first time ever, The Vitality Women's FA Cup is coming to Skegness, when our women's team plays Coalville Town Ravenettes LFC at home on 2nd October 2022, 2pm kick-off.

We would love to see the Skegness community embracing both women's football and the magic of the FA Cup, and so we would love to see as many people as possible coming down to the Vertigo Stadium to support and cheer on the team. We've decided that given the prestige of The FA Cup, and the enthusiasm and growing support for the women's game, we are going to throw the doors open with free admission for all spectators. We would love to pack the Vertigo Stadium as much as we can and create a real carnival atmosphere of support.

Make a date in your diary and don't miss it. Our women's team would love you to join us in making history with your support on the day, and with a big chance of progressing even further in the competition. We hope to see you on 2nd October for a 2pm kick-off.
